Sanam Damsaz
Sanam’s approach to fitness is rooted in strength, longevity, and a realistic lifestyle. She believes movement should feel supportive, not overwhelming, and adapt to what serves you best. At BASE, her focus is on building confidence, capability, and long-term well-being rather than chasing extremes or quick fixes.
Sanam understands firsthand how challenging it can be to integrate health and fitness into everyday life. After immigrating from Iran, she first connected to movement through competitive dance. During her college years, that relationship shifted into cycles of restriction, overtraining, and burnout, ultimately reshaping how she views fitness and health.
Now, with over 10 years of experience and multiple certifications, Sanam offers a meaningful approach that honors life stages, hormonal health, and strength as a joyful part of your routine. When she’s not dreaming up future plans for BASE, she’s often discovering a new park with her three daughters or experimenting with a new plant-based recipe!

Macty Castellanos
Macty’s approach to coaching is grounded in the belief that everyone is an athlete, capable of growth, strength, and resilience. He’s known for bringing the energy and encouragement into his sessions, where athletes expect the perfect mix of challenge and fun. At BASE, his focus is on helping athletes push past their perceived limits, build confidence, and grow both physically and mentally through consistency.
Macty began his coaching journey through working with youth athletes as a Strength and Conditioning Coach, and that athlete-first mindset has stayed with him ever since. Sports have always been a major part of his life, from football and basketball to soccer, baseball, and Olympic weightlifting. He still trains with the same focus and intensity as if he has a big game on the horizon, bringing that passion into how he coaches every client.
With over 10 years of experience coaching all ages, Macty understands that meaningful change is never a quick fix. After becoming a father in 2022, his own relationship with training evolved, deepening his appreciation for balance, recovery, and long-term care. When he’s not coaching at BASE, you’ll find him lifting (of course!), cheering on the 49ers, or spending time coaching kids in his community.

Juan Valle
Juan’s coaching experience spans a wide range, from developing young adolescents to sharpening the performance of professional athletes. He loves helping people reach levels of athletic ability they didn’t think were possible. Juan believes we are all athletes, and when you treat your body that way, training improves and everyday life feels more capable and balanced. Plus, when you step into the gym to train with Juan, you know you’ll be greeted with a big smile!
He built a strong foundation in health and human performance at California State University, Northridge, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. After graduating, Juan wanted to keep learning, pursuing multiple certifications to deepen his understanding of movement, strength, and performance.
Juan continues to expand his education with a growing focus on recovery and long-term athletic development. He expects commitment and inner drive from the athletes he works with, knowing progress comes from consistency and effort. When he’s not at BASE, you’ll find Juan strength training, watching or playing soccer, or keeping up with his two high-energy Belgian Malinois.
